Some figures you buy, others you win. Banpresto turned the second kind into an art form of its own: as a specialist in so-called prize figures, the brand has stocked Japan's arcades for decades, where the figures wait as top prizes in crane machines. Today Banpresto belongs as a label to Bandai Spirits and thus to the Bandai Namco group – and its figures have long since made the leap from the arcade to collector shelves around the world. At Elbenwald you'll find officially licensed Banpresto figures for major anime brands. The advantage over the arcade is obvious: here, no claw-machine physics decides your collector's luck – and the selection is bigger than in any arcade.
The price-to-detail ratio. Prize figures are designed to delight in series – dynamic poses, clean paintwork, striking character moments – without hitting your wallet the way a limited statue would. That's why many consider Banpresto figures a gateway drug of anime collecting: the first one lands on the shelf fast, and the tenth almost as fast. Dedicated lines create instant recognition, first and foremost Q posket with its stylized faces and big eyes, spanning everything from anime heroines to movie characters. And because the designs stay close to the source material, every figure feels like a frozen moment from the series. Which line an item belongs to and what it comes with is listed on its product page. Beginners in particular tend to underestimate how quickly a single figure turns into an entire windowsill full of frozen series moments.
Officially licensed prize figures for major anime brands – from Dragon Ball to One Piece to Demon Slayer, including lines like Q posket. Use the filters to narrow the range down by series and character.
Figures originally produced as prizes for Japanese crane and lottery machines. They offer detailed poses and paintwork at comparatively affordable prices and are considered a popular entry point into anime collecting.
Yes. Banpresto is today a figure label of Bandai Spirits and thus belongs to the Japanese Bandai Namco group, one of the largest toy and entertainment companies in the world.
Collecting happens in the Figures category, where Banpresto characters freeze series moments in place. The worlds of artwork come from Dragon Ball, One Piece, Naruto, My Hero Academia, and Jujutsu Kaisen – a tour through shonen royalty. And if you want to give a figure as a gift without knowing the recipient's shelf, the Gift Ideas have your back.
The parent company with its model-building expertise waits at Bandai, and the collector label for articulated action figures is at Tamashii Nations. If you like comparing manufacturers, check out Good Smile Company – and the Anime theme world sets the thematic frame.
